Another landscape architect established this estate’s landscape design theme in the early 1990’s. In 2008, RTD was commissioned to extend the landscape, incorporating a side yard occupied by an out-of-date swimming pool. The pool was removed providing room for a lawn suitable for social events, terraced vegetable gardens, and a luxurious custom spa. All elements were deftly incorporated into the vintage landscape. In 2011 the Client purchased the lot to the rear of the home to add a tennis court. RTD returned to design the court and extend the landscape and gardens as a cohesive whole. The finished iterative landscape carefully responds to topography, significant vegetation and the adjacent neighborhood.
